Transport

The stop which is the closest to the faculty is Norymberska stop. All trams and buses going towards the Czerwone Maki P+R terminus arrive here, and more precisely - bus number 578 and trams 11, 18, 52 and 72. The 52 line is a direct connection from the railway station (the stop at the station is Teatr Słowackiego). The scheduled travel time on the Teatr Słowackiego - Norymberska route is 25 minutes.
If you travel from Kraków Balice airport, use bus number 300 to get to Grunwald Roundabout (Rondo Grunwaldzkie). From there use tram 72 or bus line 194.
If you book your accommodation in the Kazimierz district (three first links), it is most convenient to travel to University using trams 18, 52 or traveling by foot to the stop Grunwald Roundabout (Rondo Grunwaldzkie) and travel by tram 72.
If you book your accommodation near the AGH students' town (fourth, fifth and sixth link) we recommend either using bus line number 194 or using bus lines 144, 164, 169, 173, 179, 301, 469, 503, 513 (stops Czarnowiejska and AGH/UR) to get to Grunwald Roundabout (Rondo Grunwaldzkie) and travel with tram 72 or bus 194 from there.
It may be useful to note that final stop is always displayed somewhere on and inside the vehicle.
Proposed ticket offer is as follows:

  • single ticket - 20 minutes:
    • reduced – 2 PLN,
    • normal – 4 PLN;
  • a short-term 7-day ticket (enough for zone I - it will allow for any number of journeys within the limits of the city of Krakow):
    • reduced – 28 PLN,
    • normal – 56 PLN.

If you want to find a way to travel somewhere, you can use applications such as google maps or jakdojade, which will find the quickest way to your destination. If you want a more detailed plan of all buses and trains you can visit the official site of public transport.
If you are not a Polish student, you are entitled to a discount only if you are 26 years old or younger and have a valid ISIC (International Student Identity Card).
Tickets can be purchased from vending machines located at some stops (e.g. at the Teatr Słowackiego stop), as well as those in vehicles - it is best to have both coins and a payment card. It is also possible to buy an electronic ticket by using mobile applications.
If you buy a paper ticket, you must validate it! They are not automatically valid, even if you buy them in the vehicle.
Electronic tickets can be bought using mobile applications such as jakdojade.
Useful information in such a case is the side number of the vehicle, which consists of two letters and three numbers, placed above each validator. It is not possible to buy tickets from the drivers. Even if you do not see a method of buying a ticket inside a vehicle, you still need to have a valid ticket so the safest option is to buy them ahead of time.
